About Us

The vision and inspiration to build the barn came from Fred Savage, my loving and amazingly talented husband of almost 40 years. Certainly, one of the greatest blessings the Lord ever gave us is our family: our two daughters, our sons-in-law, and our beautiful grandchildren. We consider it our best days when we are all together and there is sweet peace and fellowship between us. It was Fred’s hope and dream to build this barn and leave it as a legacy for our children and grandchildren. In the days ahead, Fred, myself, and our family will do our utmost to make Simply Southern Wedding and Event Barn an inviting, cozy, and enchanting place for you to come and have your family and friends celebrate with you for your special day or event.                                                                                                                                                                         – Malecia Savage
